Message For those of you joining the saga already in progress...
On March 15th I ordered a B&B Quad Oval Tip exhaust for 2+2 from CarParts.com when they where running a 30% off coupon special. My price after discount plus shiping was $930, which I have never been able to match. So B&B's production lead time is about a week plus UPS ground from AZ means 2 weeks from the day you order you can expect your exhaust. Well it arrived weeks ago looking like it had been dragged by mule from AZ. So after *much* delay and nonsense CarParts.com finally issued me a RMA and a set of UPS tags to ship it back to them. Then the waiting started again and in the mean time I missed the oppertunity to have it bolted on at United Auto Sales when I did my clutch. So yesterday afternoon UPS drops off the new exhaust... thankfully looking great this time (but they did short me on the gaskets which ment a early day run to the parts store). And as luck would have it today Rosenthal Nissan in Tysons Corner was sponsoring a Tech Night for the NoVA Z car club. So I got to toss it on as soon as it got here. We had a bit of a panic moment when a bolt sheered off and it looked like I would have to leave my car and have a tech finish the job the next day. But thanks to the efforts of Mike Bell the NoVA Z Club pres and our very own SpdDemon13 (Harry) & the rest of the 6 or so people helping...we drilled it out and got it all in place. I'd like to thank the Rosenthal serivce guy who stuck around late and didn't kick us out at the scheaduled 8pm so that we could wrap up my car. OH! and after 9 weeks of waiting I got CarParts.com to refund the postage costs of the exhaust so my bottom line for it went down to $870ish.

Here are a few progress shots, you'll note the broken bolt in the left cat flange. Its been a long time coming but I dig it and for all the hype about it being loud I don't think its that bad at all. Driving home I rolled the windows up and down (and I dont even have a radio to drown it out) and it was cool. No problems with the fit, it bolted right in and matched up with the stock hangers. Harry was worried that the rear tow hooks might need to be pulled but it fits fine.
